“I reached out to a couple of life coaches when I started this journey, and ultimately chose to move forward with Derrick. There was an immediate connection and genuine concern behind his guidance. Both elements seemed necessary for the growth and development I was seeking to get out of the coaching experience. While I was on track for eventual promotion to a more senior position, I felt my career path didn’t reflect my natural talents or passions, but I wasn’t sure what those talents or passions were.

This experience helped me discover myself, my strengths, my passions, my talents, and my overall purpose. This experience helped me realize there was not enough alignment with self in my career, and gave me tools to find that alignment. I gained clarity on which goals to set and pursue as a result of my new self-awareness. I’ve grown more courageous and taken on more risks in my career than I took prior to working with Derrick. I’ve stepped up for more responsibilities in my department and company. I learned to dream bigger. I also learned to stop apologizing for being ambitious.

The best thing I learned was how to be a graceful beast in the workplace, while still staying true to myself. Going after what I want and deserve, giving myself more credit, basking in my accomplishments, speaking my truths. I’ve learned what sets me apart from others and I fully embrace those qualities!”
